python for beginners

In this 2 day course you will learn the basics of Python and the tools needed for your first program.

Each student has access to a Raspberry Pi 5 with a monitor, keyboard and mouse. All required tools are pre-installed.

The participant must meet the following conditions

• Absolutely: of legal age, able to conclude contracts
• Essential: Sufficient knowledge of English to follow the course and to be able to read English descriptions
• Essential: Very good computer skills. Creating files and folders, renaming etc., using the command line
• Advantageous: knowledge of Linux
• Advantageous: Quick comprehension, strong desire to learn, analytical thinking

The price is not finalized yet but the price will be around 16’000 THB for the 2 day course.

 The course lasts 2 days of 8 hours, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 , 12:30 pm.  – 17:30 pm.

Jupyter Notebook

Thonny IDE

(a well-known tool for creating Python programs, also for Raspberry Pico)

data types (only most common): integer, float, string, boolean
sequences, arrays: list, tuple, set
data structures (mapping type): dict (dictionary)

data manipulation

calculations, string manipulation, list handling, etc

normal statements, controll statements, functions
